About Our Tree Service

We started because we got tired of watching contractors treat trees like problems instead of assets.

How This Started

Eight years ago, I was doing tree work for other companies. I watched how jobs got done. A homeowner would call about a sick oak in their yard—something they'd planted decades ago. The crew would show up, size it up in five minutes, and recommend removal. Not because the tree couldn't be saved, but because it was faster. That always bothered me.

Four years ago, I decided to do it differently. I got certified as an ISA Arborist and started my own company. That certification wasn't just a credential—it meant I had to actually know tree biology, soil science, disease identification. It meant slowing down. It meant every project would be led by someone who could read what a tree was telling you, not just what the job looked like on a sunny Tuesday.

The early days were humbling. We'd take on work other companies had quoted, spend twice as long assessing the actual problem, and often find a solution that kept the tree alive. We charged less, made less money, and still had clients question whether we really needed to be there that long. But slowly, word spread. People noticed the difference between treating a tree and treating a symptom.

'Most contractors treat trees like obstacles. We treat them like living things that deserve expertise.'

— Owner, ISA Certified Arborist

What We've Learned

Being a locally owned business means something concrete to us. It means the person who shows up to your property is the same person who'll still be here next year if something doesn't work right. We've watched contractors from larger outfits disappear after job one. We stay. We know the trees in this area, the soil conditions, which species thrive here and which ones struggle. That knowledge comes from being present, from doing the work ourselves, from remembering specific yards across seasons.

Having an arborist on every project changes everything. We've found disease before it kills a tree, spotted structural problems that would have snapped limbs in a storm, diagnosed nutritional issues that looked like terminal decline. One client had a beloved maple that was losing leaves every summer. A previous company said it was just old. We ran a soil test, identified zinc deficiency, and that tree came back. Those moments remind us why certification matters—it's not a credential to frame on the wall, it's permission to really help.

We've also learned that trust is built slowly through consistency. Not through flashy marketing or promises, but through showing up on time, explaining what we see in language that makes sense, and pricing the work fairly based on what it actually requires. We say no to jobs we can't do well. That's unusual in this industry, but it's the only way we sleep at night.

How We Work

When we come out, you get a real assessment. An arborist will walk your property, ask questions about what you've noticed, look at the trees up close, and take time to understand what you actually need. Not what we can sell you, but what will help. We'll explain what we see, why we recommend it, and what happens if you wait. Then we'll give you honest pricing.

The work itself is careful. We show up on time. We clean up. We use proper technique because we know there's a difference between cutting a branch and knowing where and how to cut it. And we keep learning. Certification is ongoing—new research, new challenges, new techniques. That education gets passed directly to every project we touch.

If you have trees you care about, or trees you're worried about, call us. Let's talk about what you're seeing and what might actually help. No pressure, no upsell. Just expertise.
